Heston Blumenthal, ranked 2nd best chef in the World, came to visit The Cake Store for advice on a giant house made of cake for the show Heston's Feast 2 .

"It was great news when Heston's researchers first contacted us regarding a huge cake project for his new series Heston's Feasts 2." Comments Kevin Slatter CEO of The Cake Store. The Cake Store was contacted by Optomen productions for Channel 4 in November 2009 and were later to be filmed assisting Heston Blumenthal with a project to build a giant house made of cake and confectionary for celebrity dining guests. Co Director Tim comments "Heston is currently ranked second best chef in the world and we were concerned as to how temperamental he might be. He was extremely easy to work with and took advice on building a wall made of fruitcake bricks, royal icing cement and a roof of shortbread slabs."
